This is no ordinary job ad. This is an invitation for a warm hug from someone you love. Or for sipping a cold drink when it's hot out. Or for that feeling you get after a really great workout. In other words, you know that natural rush of endorphins you get when you do or think about something you love? Well that's what Anglicare wants to offer you - a job, or better yet a lifestyle that you undoubtedly and unapologetically love.

About us

The core mission of Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty for children, young people and families. We have a particular focus on serving vulnerable communities in the ACT and regional, rural NSW.

About the role

"Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future" - John F. Kennedy. You know this, better than anyone else, to be true. Furthermore, you know the great responsibility that will come with this role. As our new Case Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, wellbeing and positive permanency outcomes for children and young people within the Permanency Support Program (PSP).

You will hold a caseload of children and young people who are in statutory care and will work in a therapeutic and collaborative manner with them, their families, carers and their care team. You understand that each child is different, and each one is special. This understanding will be at the forefront as you continually assess, develop, implement and review the planning for each child or young person to reach their potential.

About you

Thanks to your relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Diploma) in community services or related field and your demonstrated experience in working with and supporting vulnerable children and their families or carers, your knowledge and skills base is rock-solid. You also have a current Australian driver's licence allowing you to travel to our regional communities.

But above all, you're someone who truly believes in making a tangible difference, no matter how big or small. Someone who's ultimate satisfaction comes from helping others reach their goals and fulfil their potential in ways they could only dream of without you. You understand that each day presents its own unique challenge - but you will never shy away from it.

To apply please provide your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience and addressing the key skills, experience, and knowledge areas within the PD.
