We are Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT), our core mission is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty for children, young people and families. We have a particular focus on serving vulnerable communities in regional, rural NSW. We currently have an exciting, and rewarding opportunity for a talented professional to join our highly committed and dynamic team of Therapeutic Specialists. This exciting role will provide counselling and support services in Moruya at Cassie's Place for a temporary six-month period for children who have experienced child sexual assault as well as provide counselling services to their non- offending parent and family members impacted by child sexual assault. This position after 6 months will transition to join the Anglicare Therapeutic Specialist Team to provide therapeutic services for children and young people in foster and kinship care in the Eurobodalla.
Instrumental to your success will be your strong communication and interpersonal skills and experience working in a therapeutic, clinical or trauma-informed setting or working with Children and Young People. A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling or a related discipline is mandatory.
In exchange for your hard work, you will be richly rewarded. The salary range for this position is negotiable according to qualifications and experience plus 10.5% employer superannuation guarantee. Applicants will be required to undertake the psychometric profiling instrument and must obtain a Working With Children clearance through the Office of the NSW Children's Guardian and undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to an offer of employment.
