The Position

The position of Case Manager Residential Care, is to work specifically with four (4) Residential Care children in the care of Anglicare Victoria providing Case Management and Case Contracting required duties. Working directly alongside the children, Residential Youth Workers, Child Protection, Family members and other internal and external stakeholders.

Working alongside a larger Residential Care team there will be required duties to assess, plan and implement therapeutic strategies to enable to the best possible outcomes for young people in Out of Home Care. Providing Case Management duties working alongside required documentation and daily reporting including Court Report Writing, Quarterly Report writing, diligent and comprehensive correspondence and other required Case Management Duties.

The Case Manager role will work alongside a multi-diverse team in which can include professionals from DFFH, AOD, Mental Health, Education, Health and other.

You will be responsible for Coordinating Care Teams, initial and ongoing Assessment and Safety planning, all the while maintaining accurate and up to date client notes and reporting in accordance with the Program and Department Guidelines.

The role itself is based in Bendigo and is a Full-Time Position until December 2022. Flexibility with working hours may be required to meet the needs and availability of young people.

About You

Along with your relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Similar, and experience in an out of home care setting, to be successful in this role you will also need:

  • Knowledge and experience with Child Protection clients.
  • Knowledge and Understanding of Child Protection systems, specifically CRIS
  • Resilience to work with and support clients who have been exposed to trauma or neglect.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate challenging or confronting situations.
  • Demonstrated history of providing a high quality of care to clients.
  • A sound understanding of therapeutic service relating to trauma and attachment.
  • The ability to work effectively with a team to achieve program goals and objectives.

Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
