Your role:

You will join the Out of Home Care program, made up of 5 teams, 41 people, 6-8 people on each team. Lots of contact with our children and young people and the amazing kinship carers.

• Case management
• Care team meetings
• Carer supervision
• School meetings
• Compliance

About you:

NB: We can offer support and training in these areas to new graduates

• Experience or knowledge of Best Interest Principles as outlined within the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
• Ability to provide children and young people with supportive placements whilst maintaining safety
• A commitment to working with vulnerable children young people and families who have experienced trauma

Qualifications:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or related discipline at degree level or diploma level with experience relevant to child welfare

The important stuff:

• Salary $82,000 to $86,000 plus super plus salary packaging (Level 5 SCHCADS)
• Flexible office location: Bendigo
• Maximum term
• 2 positions available- 6 months or 12 months contract

Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
