 Your role:

  • Enhance parental skills and knowledge through the delivery of parent education in locations across the Eastern Metropolitan Region
  • Deliver high quality programs that strengthen positive parent/child interactions and relationships.
  • Promote the participation of families within their communities.
  • Provide training and consultancy to professionals working with parents.

About you:          

  • Experience and knowledge in group facilitation, including adult learning principles.
  • A thorough understanding of child and adolescent physical, emotional and social development
  • Able to apply individual and systemic theories that underpin work with parents and children in a child-centred, family focused and strength based framework.
  • Ability to establish working relationships with all key stakeholders that demonstrate respect and honest communication, particularly in relation to building partnerships and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or related discipline at degree level or diploma level with experience relevant to child welfare

What you need to know:

  • Salary offers start at $37,000 plus super plus salary packaging (Level 6 SCHCADS)
  • Keep in mind that salary is based on working 2 days per week
  • Maximum term until April 14th 2023
  • Office location: Box Hill

 Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
