The Care Hub 

The Care Hub is a new initiative that brings together a number of organisations to form an integrated team of professionals to support Children and Young People in the areas of Mental Health, AOD, Cultural Connection, Family Work, Community Engagement and Therapeutic Support.

The team will be based from a single location in Bendigo, forming a collaborative, integrated team of staff helping support those entering care for the first time. The aim of the Care Hub is to provide a wraparound service and team of staff to support effective assessment, planning and intervention to help support the Children, Young People and Families through the process and ensure all needs are met.

The integrated team will include professionals from AV and a host of other partner organisations, all working together to do better.

In other programs such as The Orange Door, Integrated and Collaborative teams have proven to be hugely effective in providing wrap around support and services to clients, as well as great support structures and ongoing learning for staff.

The Role

The Program Manager role will lead and oversee the day to day operation of the Care Hub including the provision of high level leadership and support to the team, as well as working closely with internal AV stakeholders as part of AV’s leadership team. This may involve elements of budget control, implementation activity and ongoing review of program targets and success.

The role will also be the key contact for the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.

The specified programs to be managed may change over time to reflect organisational needs.

Program Managers are members of the Anglicare Victoria Senior Management Group and the North Central Regional Management Team.

About you

  • Tertiary Qualification in Leadership or Social Work or a similar field
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and motivate staff and create a workplace culture based on cooperation, teamwork and common pursuit of organisational objectives.
  • A comprehensive understanding and experience in the human service delivery system, with particular reference to Family Services and Out of Home Care.
  • Demonstrated experience in the planning, development and implementation of human services
  • Excellent ability to support, lead and strengthen the ability and capacity of others
  • Excellent written, verbal and collaborative communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a busy and dynamic program
  • An empathy with AV’s Values and Mission to do better for Children, Young People and Families
