The Position:

Within Anglicare Victoria, Program Managers are members or the AV Senior Management Group and have a wide range of responsibilities and duties to help achieve key position objectives such as:

  • Providing a high level of leadership for all staff, volunteers and partner agencies within the program;
  • Ensuring that all service standards and targets are met, and that appropriate processes are in place to enable continuous improvement of services;
  • Developing program budgets and business plans, and ensuring business plan objectives and budget targets are achieved;
  • Ensuring and managing the implementation of organisational policy, standards and procedures.

The Program Manager Family Violence is responsible for and oversees the following program areas within the Eastern Region, including but not limited to:

  • Family Violence
  • Meridian
  • Peaceful Warriors

In addition this role oversees a range of Family Violence related programs across Anglicare Victoria including but not limited to Men’s Behaviour Change.

This is a permanent, full time position in our East Region based out of our office in Box Hill.

About You:

Program Managers are expected to be professional managers with a demonstrated history of working well within a team, producing high quality work, operating within tight timelines and living the values of AV and the supporting the vision of the organisation.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high level of capacity and expertise in each of the following:

  • A comprehensive understanding and experience in the human service delivery system;
  • Planning, development and management of human services;
  • Managing change in a complex environment effectively and with sensitivity;
  • Representing the interests of the organisation publicly and building appropriate relationships with government, other organisations and key stakeholders;
  • Mediating and negotiating appropriate outcomes in complex work situations;
  • Management of physical, human and financial resources;
  • Ability to lead, manage and motivate staff and create a workplace culture based on cooperation, teamwork and common pursuit of organisational objectives;
  • Tertiary qualifications, preferably in social sciences and/or management;
  • Commitment to social justice principles, and specifically to the mission and aims of Anglicare Victoria.

Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
