Your role

A Senior Practitioner working in home based care. You will join the home based care team, made up of 5 teams, 41 people, 6-8 people on each team. A caseload of up to 6 more complex young people, plus support and guidance to case managers which includes you reviewing plans and supporting case notes.

• Work on the most complex placements
• Support the leadership team
• Mentor and guide level 5 case managers

About you

• Experience at a high level within children and families or ideally foster care
• Ability to lead, develop and mentor others
• Experience or knowledge of Best Interest Principles as outlined within the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
• Ability to provide children and young people with supportive placements whilst maintaining safety
• A commitment to working with vulnerable children young people and families who have experienced trauma

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or related discipline at degree level or diploma level with experience relevant to child welfare
