The Men’s Family Violence Program is funded by Family Safety Victoria (FSV) and Corrections Victoria to provide services to men working or residing in Melbourne’s eastern region who use family violence and women and children impacted by men’s family violence. Services to men include case management, individual intake assessments, therapeutic counselling and Men’s Behaviour Change (MBC) group work. MBC is usually provided in the evenings at our offices in Dandenong, Lilydale, and Box Hill.
Group programs have a focus on cognitive psycho-education using group participation to reflect on different topics for discussion. These topics always locate the responsibility for the violence with the perpetrator and are based on feminist theory with a gender analysis. The service meet ‘No To Violence’ minimum standards.
At Anglicare Victoria our focus is on transforming the futures of children and young people, families and adults. Our work is based on three guiding pillars, Prevent, Protect, Empower. We offer a comprehensive network of services and seek to ensure the provision of high quality services that will bring about significant improvements in the life experience of the young people, children and families/caregivers with whom we work.
The role of the Team Leader is to co-ordinate the delivery of a high quality program that provides genuine and positive outcomes for clients whilst providing ongoing support, supervision, performance management, learning and development of team members in this program. The role also incorporates ensuring appropriate processes are in place to enable continuous improvement of services and to promote best practice and ongoing quality improvement of the program. Additionally, ensuring the program is operated in accordance with service and quality standards, program targets, DHHS service agreements, organisational policies and accepted standards of practice. The Team Leader works in conjunction with the Program Manager to plan and implement responses in relation to sector and service developments.
Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
