Team Leader - Home Based Care - Bendigo

Your role:

You will be the Team Leader of Home Based Care. You will join the Out of Home Care Program, made up of 5 teams, 41 people, 6-8 people on each team. You will lead your team to provide optimal outcomes for children, young people and carers.

  • Look at Care Plans and problem solve
  • Engage carers with higher level support
  • Support and advocate for your team with DFFH

About you:

  • Experience at a high level within children and families or ideally foster care
  • Ability to lead, develop and mentor others
  • Experience or knowledge of Best Interest Principles as outlined within the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
  • Ability to provide children and young people with supportive placements whilst maintaining safety
  • A commitment to working with vulnerable children young people and families who have experienced trauma
  • Strong in communication and decision making

Qualifications:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or related discipline at degree level or diploma level with experience relevant to child welfare

  • Salary above $100,000 plus super plus salary packaging (Level 7 SCHCADS)
