At Anglicare Victoria our focus is on transforming the futures of children and young people, families and adults. Our work is based on three guiding pillars, Prevent, Protect, Empower. We offer a comprehensive network of services and seek to ensure the provision of high quality services that will bring about significant improvements in the life experience of the young people, children and families/caregivers with whom we work.
We are seeking an experienced alcohol & other drug (AOD) practitioner to provide outreach intervention and support to young people in Melbourne's northern suburbs. The Youth AOD Support Worker is responsible for providing alcohol and drug treatment and support to young people (12-25 years) with complex life issues and who present with at-risk behaviours. This program utilises an assertive outreach and strengths based model, providing support to young people who require early intervention and/or alcohol and drug treatment to stabilise, reduce or cease harmful alcohol and drug use. The program provides linkages to a range of specific support services provided locally, including Anglicare Victoria services.
Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
