About the Position

As a private practitioner you will deliver effective, evidence-based interventions to young people and their families experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems. Private practitioners will maintain high quality counselling, assessment, and screening skills (inclusive of clinical risk and first episode psychosis) through provision of direct service delivery.

The minimum qualification required is an approved tertiary qualification and minimum 3 years’ experience in a health-related discipline and registration with the relevant regulatory body such as AHPRA or membership of and adherence to professional standards, for example AASW for social workers. Private

Practitioners will need to have an ABN and be eligible for registration with Medicare and Short-Term Therapies Program.

Experience of working closely with and having a strong understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture would be considered an advantage.
