About the Position

We are seeking to engage a Clinician to join the Primary team to provide youth friendly, family inclusive and culturally appropriate services to young people accessing our services. You will be responsible for providing early intervention clinical assessments and therapeutic intervention to young people, along with working other headspace teams in the delivery of community awareness information sessions and group work relating to youth mental health issues.

To be successful in this role a minimum qualification is required an approved tertiary qualification and minimum 1-year experience in a health-related discipline and registration with the relevant regulatory body such as AHPRA or membership of and adherence to professional standards, for example AASW for social workers. Demonstrate to undertake the provision of individual and group work, including intake, assessment, counselling, treatment and support to young people and their families accessing headspace Darwin. Experience in conducting risk assessments/developing safety plans, experience in provision of short-term therapy and family-based interventions are considered crucial for this role.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months),demonstrated currency of pandemic and job specific vaccinations (and boosters)and a current Northern Territory driver’s licence.
