About the Position

You will provide effective delivery and overall management of services for headspace Katherine. This includes providing effective management to all staff (including private providers and co-located clinic staff) to ensure the service delivers an early intervention youth mental health service to young people aged 12-25 within the headspace model of evidence based best practice. The Centre Manager will work collaboratively with the Operations Manager headspace Palmerston & headspace Katherine, the Executive Manager Mental Health, and the Anglicare NT Katherine Regional Operations Manager to deliver an integrated, holistic and responsive service to young people within the Katherine region (township and other locations).

The role will be responsible for continuing to engage and attract co-located service providers as well as private practitioners. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing networks and managing relationships with key external services, including coordination of the headspace Katherine Consortium with the Independent Chair. The role will assist the Operations Manager with meeting key reporting requirements to the NT Primary Health Network, headspace National Office, Anglicare NT and other bodies as required.

General Criteria

  • Demonstrated commitment to work respectfully and inclusively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse people.
  • Demonstrated adherence to legislation, policies and procedures and a commitment to EEO, WHS, risk management and quality improvement practices.
  • Northern Territory Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
  • National Police Criminal History Report (less than three months old) with acceptable outcome.
  • Ability to meet 100-point ID and additional visa / overseas work compliance measures.
  • Northern Territory Driver’s Licence.
  • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain within agreed timeframe) Delete if not relevant.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working withChildren (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory manual driver’s licence.
