About the Position

We are seeking to engage a Senior Clinician to join the Primary team to provide youth friendly, family inclusive and culturally appropriate services to young people accessing our services. You will be responsible for providing early intervention clinical assessments and therapeutic intervention to young people, along with working other headspace teams in the delivery of community awareness information sessions and group work relating to youth mental health issues. You will be responsible for managing new referrals into the service, delegation of work to other clinicians and will have experience in the assessment and triage of mental health referrals.

To be successful in this role a minimum qualification is required an approved tertiary qualification and minimum 2-years’ experience in a health-related discipline and registration with the relevant regulatory body such as AHPRA or membership of and adherence to professional standards, for example AASW for social workers. Demonstrate to undertake the provision of individual and group work, including intake, assessment, counselling, treatment and support to young people and their families accessing headspace Darwin. Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans to help manage these risks.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory manual driver’s licence.
