Senior Service Development Officer Based in Tennant Creek
Two-year fixed term contract with potential to extend - Full-time
Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation (JCAC) is one of the largest and oldest Aboriginal corporations in Australia. JCAC delivers a manages a number of businesses and a variety of community and social services in Tennant Creek and across the entire Barkly Region. Representing 24 language groups, this is the second largest local government area in Australia. JCAC’s mission is to promote sustainable economic and social development across the Barkly region through individual and community achievement. Urapuntja Aboriginal Corporation (UAC) is a Peak Body respecting the people living on 15 Homelands located 250kms nort east of Alice Springs on the Alyawarra and Angarapa Aboriginal Land Trust (which covers 3, 250 square kilometres). Prior to the amalgamation of smaller councils into the Shire framework on 1 July 2008. UAC provided all local government services and a range of other community services to over 1,200 people living on the Homelands.

The Partnership Support Service has been established in Anglicare NT to support the capacity development of Aboriginal organisations across the Territory. In the role of Senior Service Development Officer, you will play a key role in supporting and building capacity and capabilities with two Aboriginal Corporations.
Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory manual driver’s licence.
