This is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified role.
You will work with young Aboriginal people and their families to improve their social and emotional wellbeing. The trainee will enrol in a qualification at Charles Darwin University in Mental Health as well as participate in community engagement activities. The trainee will be a part of a team of Aboriginal Social and Emotional Wellbeing Workers at headspace Darwin. The role will include a variety of opportunities to work with young people including outreach activities and may involve outdoor activities and sports.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory driver's licence.
Experience of working closely with and having a strong understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture would be considered an advantage.
