About the Position

In the role of WHS Officer, you will work across all areas of Anglicare NT providing advice, support and coaching to staff and management on WHS best practice, incident and risk management and rehabilitation and case management of injured/ill workers.

You will contribute to the development and review of WHS policies, processes, procedures and initiatives within Anglicare NT that support a healthy and safe workplace and provide quality reporting on various WHS activities.

To be successful you will possess a minimum of a Certificate IV in WHS and have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role. You will have sound working knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety and Injury Management Legislation and have the ability to use judgement, initiative and common sense when performing your duties.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory driver's licence.
Experience of working closely with and having a strong understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture would be considered an advantage.
