This is a casual position with flexibility regarding the days of work.

The Legal & Industrial Support Officer position is part of the Union’s Workplace Advice and Support team.

The Workplace Advice & Support Team are expected to attend the office on Tuesday and Thursday but otherwise have flexibility to work from home.

Skills and experience

• A keen interest in industrial relations and employment law;
• The ability to manage a variety of tasks and meet deadlines;
• A demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication skills;
• The ability to deal with people that may be experiencing stressful situations;
• A commitment to trade union values.

Having studied or are studying either law (in particular employment law) or industrial relations will be looked upon favourably.
