As a Training and Development Co-ordinator in our Training and Development Co-ordination team you'll play a key role in the smooth running of APNIC's public training events. Our training events take the form of online courses/webinars/labs and face-to-face events across the Asia Pacific. You'll report into our Training & Development Co-ordination Manager and work alongside another co-ordinator. On a typical day you'll find yourself…
- Executing the administrative and logistical arrangements for concurrent public training workshops
- Liaising with trainers, partners and hosts across the AP region for future events
- Providing administrative help to our wider Infrastructure & Development Team in support of their community engagement efforts
- Reviewing internal processes and implementing improvements
To be successful in the role you'll have a background in events co-ordination and genuine interest in events and training.
In detail your background should include:
- Relevant tertiary or professional qualifications (marketing, communications, business) or relevant work experience
- Three years' events coordination experience, preferably in an environment with concurrent events
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in an independent, pro-active manner
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, particularly in English
- Experience in using enterprise applications, preferably Salesforce, O365/Sharepoint, Confluence, Expensify and/or NetSuite
- Proven ability to work with people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds
It would also be nice if your background included:
- Work experience in a member-based or non-profit organisation
- Ability to speak and Asian language
- Willingness and availability to undertake occasional overseas travel
