We are currently seeking an Alumni Relations Manager to play a pivotal role building on a strong foundation of alumni relations and developing and implementing plans with a focus on meaningful alumni engagement for mutual benefit. Acting under broad direction, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with the Alumni Relations team on the development and delivery of a program of activities, events, and processes to grow the University’s active engagement with its local, national and international Alumni.
  • Operate as an effective business partner for academic groups and relevant professional portfolios across the University, liaising with relevant staff within schools and stakeholder areas to identify priorities and support annual goals to be met.
  • Undertake personalised engagement with a portfolio of alumni at the mid-career level, and support and leverage an active alumni community network, domestically and internationally

This a continuing, full time position based at the Gold Coast Campus (Nathan Campus may be considered) and it is expected that the successful candidate will be available to attend campus in person as a normal requirement of the role. Further, you may be required to work on either a temporary or an indefinite basis at any premises, which the University currently has or may subsequently acquire or at any premises at which it may from time to time provide services.

About you

  • You are highly organised, detail orientated and able to work independently under the broad direction of the Deputy Director Advancement and Head of Alumni Relations. In addition, you will have a track record of building and managing effective relationships with alumni or other constituents to achieve engagement goals.
  • You have experience of developing and implementing successful alumni and/or engagement initiatives, programs and events in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders incorporating knowledge of the latest engagement trends and research
  • You possess a high level of organisational, project management and problem solving skills with a track record of managing competing demands and meeting deadlines successfully without compromising quality standards, and whilst adhering to policy, procedure and guidelines.

Salary range

HEW 7: $87,632 - $94,940 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation $102,529 - $110,079 per annum.
