About the role

Reporting to the Higher Education Manager and whilst travelling extensively through remote communities, provide specialised leadership training to improve performance in the workplace and recognise and overcome some of the challenges Yolngu face when working in remote leadership positions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite and online workplace training NVR and AQF standards.
  • Develop individual training plans with structured 12-month competency goals.
  • Assist workplace coaches to deliver quality training.
  • Mentor, coach, and guide students in person, online, by video, and on the telephone.
  • Maintain and update the electronic student records database.
  • Participate in projects assigned by the Higher Education Manager including but not limited to creating learning resources.
  • Provide administration support as required to the Higher Education Manager.
  • When in remote settings represent ALPA with relevant stakeholders including community leaders, local government, business operators, ALPA entities, and schools.

Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in delivering a broad range of training programs, using in person and remote learning, within a blended learning approach for a large multi-disciplinary organisation.
  • Attainment of a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Attainment of Retail or Community Services qualifications
  • An unrestricted NT C class driver's license or ability to obtain.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all education levels, language abilities, and ethnic origin.
