As our new IT Operations Manager you will be ensure the Aruma IT Team are a resilient team ready for the future. Leading the service delivery arm of the IT&T team, you will be responsible for the Service Desk and Application Support teams to ensure service availability and provision.

Your number one focus is to lead development of service delivery strategy to deliver measurable customer satisfaction benefits whilst ensuring the team is supported and set up for success.

What success looks like…

  • Experienced 2IC, delegate and succession candidate for the GM, IT
  • Projects are managed successfully, with variations and outcomes clearly communicated
  • Significant contribution to IT Annual Plan with buy in and accountability to its objectives
  • Leads an engaged and motivated team with clearly defined objectives and professional development plans
  • A enterprise leader and mentor for technical and support teams
  • Established regular reporting across service delivery functions
  • Specific operating plans for support team and application support team
  • Guidance and consultancy sought by enterprise leaders across functions and active participation in meeting where IT input and insight is requested
  • Confidence presenting and comfortable operating at senior leadership levels, able to translate technical speak into simple English
  • Equally comfortable working with technical teams and workshopping solutions
  • Understands requirements and works with internal customers to negotiate good outcomes based on available resources

About you…

  • Bachelor (4-year) degree with technical major or tertiary technical qualifications
  • 10 years experience leading successful teams with less leadership experience considered where early leadership success can be demonstrated
  • 10 years experience in Systems or Network Engineering or technical business analysis
  • Ability to lead, coach and support team members, encouraging personal growth
  • Significant exposure to Cloud services, for example lead teams developing in Azure or previously built infrastructure in IaaS
  • Commitment to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, developing strong working relationships to achieve the organisational goals assigned to the role
  • A technical background to underpin leadership in a highly technical team
  • Strong administration and time management skills with the ability to coordinate tasks, prioritise and manage multiple concurrent priorities
  • Strong communication skills that translate technical and complex systems into everyday terms
