Aruma is seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist (Lismore, NSW) who will utilise their skills and knowledge in occupational therapy to provide flexible family centred services to children and adults with a disability.

This is a full-time role however part-time applications will be considered (minimum 22.8 hours per week / 3 days a week).

New graduates are encouraged to apply as Aruma provides training and external supervision, a vibrant internal community of practice and collegiate support led by an experienced manager!

You will join a fun and supportive trans-disciplinary team who are committed to making a difference in the lives of people who have a disability.

What success in this role looks like

  • Qualifications and experience and/or placements in Occupational Therapy
  • Commitment to family-centred principles
  • Assess the Occupational Therapy needs of children and adults utilising appropriate assessments and investigation processes
  • Develop professional relationships with families, which respect individual styles and acknowledge their strengths and capabilities
  • Participate in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of individualised service plans
  • Provide interventions that promote learning through play and/or active participation for both adults and children, in both centre and home based settings
  • An ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Must have a current Drivers Licence and willingness to drive as per role requirements
  • Must have a Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • Must have a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
  • Be willing to provide a confirmation record of COVID-19 vaccination (dose 1 & 2)
