We have an exciting opportunity for a resilient, experienced and dedicated Operations Officer to join our team:

What success looks like

  • Supporting the design and development of project planning, methodology and documentation
  • Working collaboratively with other areas across the Shared Living and Shared Services personnel to produce timely and solution focused outcomes on designated areas of work that assist in achieving enhanced outcomes for customers, staff and for Aruma more broadly.
  • Having an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Bid and Deed arrangements, contractual obligations and compliance requirements that underpin the Victorian Transfer (ex DFFH) services.
  • Successful project implementation that ensures consistency with contractual agreements and requirements, including monitoring and reporting requirements.
  • Working together as a successful team and delivering and achieving key project milestones and outcomes.
  • Successfully worked with Operations Unit Lead and other key stakeholders, to have developed and implemented project and associated business strategies and tools that monitor and evaluate projects, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation project impact and quality measures, that ensures project effectiveness.
  • To have supported the establishment of effective working relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure stakeholders are engaged and project deliverables are met.

What you need to be successful in this role

  • A commitment to the Values and Code of Conduct of Aruma
  • Sound knowledge of the disability sector and NDIS framework
  • 3 years experience in leading and executing project plans
  • Strong project administrative skills, time management, coordination of tasks, efficient work practices
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering effective change management strategies
  • Demonstrated leadership and complex stakeholder and change management experience
  • Excellent computer literacy and confidence and capability in using systems and technology
  • High level interpersonal communication skills for presentation, negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Ability to adapt communication style to specific needs of individuals or groups
  • High attention to detail, numeracy and literacy
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume workload through planning and prioritisation whilst maintaining high work standards and accuracy

Must Haves

  • Demonstrated project management experience over a minimum of 3 years within a large organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders at all levels
  • High level interpersonal communication skills for presentation, negotiation and conflict resolution
  • The ability to govern, manage change and influence stakeholders is critical to the success of this role
