We are seeking an experienced HR generalist to join our North Shared Living People team.

Reporting to the People Partner you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely advice and coaching to business partners and employees across the full range of generalist HR/people issues, whilst ensuring HR practices are compliant with Aruma's policies and processes, along with relevant legislative requirements.

You will have a strong focus employee relations and performance management. Integral to your success will be your customer focused people practices and your ability to role model our organisational values.

What success looks like...

  • Provide sound, accurate and timely advice in the areas of employee relations, performance management, award and agreement interpretation, reward, recognition and retention.
  • Working collaboratively across the People, Learning and Culture community of Aruma, promoting a culture of best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Fostering a collaborative relationship with stakeholder groups whilst managing needs, expectations and competing priorities.
  • Working collaboratively across the People, Learning and Culture Community, promoting a culture of professional collegiality

Your success will be underpinned by:

  • Demonstrated commitment to the Aruma Code of Conduct.
  • Strong HR Advisor experience in a fast paced environment, providing sound and timely advice in areas of (but not limited to) employee relations, performance management, award and agreement interpretation, reward, recognition and retention.
  • Qualifications in HR or similar field is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and partner with a range of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across a range of stakeholders, including unions.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare written reports.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills and solutions focused.
  • Be an action orientation person and have a drive for results.
  • Excellent computer literacy and confidence and capability in using systems and technology.
  • Willingness to travel if required.
  • Experience working in the Disability or Community Services Sector would be an advantage.
