What success looks like…

  • Local facility services teams were led effectively, received coaching and support to meet schedules, contract specifications, and service management responsibilities in line with our purpose and values.
  • All incidents or issues were reported or escalated appropriately using Periscope, CIMs with appropriate actions followed up to create a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Assisted Workforce and Resource Planning Manager with proposed tenders or quotations; and maintained consistent site visits to facilitate effective and cost-efficient contract services.
  • Assisted and advised Workforce and Resource Planning Manager with weekly and monthly scheduling, communicating with PSC, HR or Administrators for any team or workforce changes required.

A day in the life of a Service Delivery Supervisor…

  • Leadership & Teamwork
    • Works collaboratively with management and other team leaders, coaching and sharing knowledge that assists Supported Employees and other team leaders to develop skills to achieve their employment goals.
    • Displays positive team relationships that reflect our values, contributing to team results and effectiveness.
    • Actively participates and facilitates scheduled team meetings to share knowledge within teams, plus engaging with opportunities to develop new skills.
  • Communication
    • Adapts communication style to differing needs and situations, to resolve conflict effectively with assistance.
    • Reports incidents, issues or feedback promptly and escalating issues to the appropriate line manager or support. Follows up all stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Customer relationships
    • Coaches team leaders and staff to provide appropriate care for supported employees with a variety of complex requirements; and modelling appropriate sensitivity and confidentiality.
    • Develops positive relationships with external customers, suppliers and contractors, promoting Aruma's reputation through excellent customer service.
    • Assists with the preparation of quotes or tenders, providing appropriate documentation or reports as required.
    • Maintains a professional appearance and manner at all times, making sure service equipment and vehicles are presenting well.
  • Training
    • Provides training and development to staff and team leaders, assisting them to assist and train supported employees in accordance with performance and service/ contract goals.
    • Makes sure all performance appraisals are carried out in a timely manner.
    • Working within the organisation's systems to develop training solutions to address barriers to employment.
    • Monitors effectiveness of supported employee training and making recommendations for improvement
  • Accountability
    • Reports promptly all accidents or near misses to Workforce and Resource Planning Manager or General Manager as appropriate and cooperates with actions to improve WHS risks management.
    • Follows safe working practices and follows detailed and precise work instructions.
    • Maintains machinery and equipment in line with manufacturer recommendations/ specifications, and as per maintenance registers/ procedures.
    • Wears all personal protective equipment provided.
    • Uses and monitors appropriate IT systems and tools so notes and documentation such as CIMS data entry, injury management or WC notifications, and Periscope reports or rosters are accurately reported and escalated as required.
    • Performs other reasonable duties as directed by senior management.
  • Innovation
    • Adopts new technology or changes to processes to align with the changing needs of the business and customer requirements.
    • Uses problem solving and technical skills to resolve maintenance problems or service issues, taking steps to mitigate risks and improve work practices.
    • Makes recommendations and supporting the implementation of changes to procedures or resourcing requirements.

What you need to be successful in this role…

  • A commitment to the Aruma Code of Conduct.
  • A minimum Cert IV in Horticulture certificate; or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • A high level of physical fitness to meet the manual handling and environmental requirements of the position.
  • Sound communication and negotiation skills, able to resolve conflict and assess when to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Problem solving and technical skills to solve maintenance, contract and scheduling issues.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to coordinate and support teams that are working over a large geographical area.
  • Ability to plan, monitor and action contract schedules in a timely manner, promoting quality, cost-effectiveness and safe work practices at all times
  • A practical understanding of WHS and DSS requirements.
  • A current Australian driver's license, White card and Working with Children Check.

Skills and Experience which will make you stand out

  • Formal team leadership training and/or equivalent knowledge and experience with demonstrated ability to supervise and support staff.
  • Willingness to travel as across a regional area.

Nice to have's OR Desirable

  • Experience with working with people with disabilities, particularly in a service provision context.
  • Sound Microsoft Office skills and ability to effectively utilise databases for reporting and coordination.
