Aruma is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Pathologist (Burleigh, QLD) who will utilise their skills and knowledge in paediatric speech pathology to provide flexible family centred services to children with a disability and their families.

What success in this role looks like:

  • Have tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
  • Membership of Speech Pathology Association of Australia
  • Assess the communication needs of children and adults utilising appropriate assessments and investigation processes
  • Develop professional relationships with families, which respect individual styles and acknowledge their strengths and capabilities
  • Provide assistance and support to families to enable them to identify their priorities and make informed decisions
  • Provide written assessment reports, including comprehensive recommendations, when necessary
  • Participate in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of individualised service plans
  • Develop, record, monitor and regularly review individualised speech and language goals in relation to children's Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and the adults NDIS goals
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, learning from and supporting all other team members, in order to best meet child and customer needs and priorities
  • An ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Must have a current Drivers Licence and willingness to drive as per role requirements
  • Must have a Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • Must have a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
  • Be willing to provide a confirmation record of COVID-19 vaccination (dose 1 & 2)
