About the Role:

You will be part of a dynamic and inclusive business enterprise that provides opportunities for people with disabilities to be employed alongside other trade-skilled team members.

This role will involve working in the Central Coast region completing cleaning maintenance at commercial and residential housing sites.

We are keen to get started, so interviews will commence as applicants are identified! You will be hands on, leading the commercial cleaning team.

What success looks like:

  • Team members were led effectively, receiving coaching and direction to meet schedules and contract specifications.
  • Team results and effectiveness were facilitated by working collaboratively and cooperatively, including assisting in areas where team members are on leave or absent.
  • Accidents, injuries and near misses were reported immediately. Hazards and risks were identified and acted upon to create a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Excellent customer service promoted Aruma services and built positive relationships with external customers, suppliers, and contractors.

Skills that make you stand out:

Must have's OR Essential

  • A demonstrated commitment to the Aruma Code of Conduct.
  • A minimum Cert III in a trade and/or horticulture certificate; or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
  • Working with Children check
  • National Police Check
  • A White Card and practical understanding of WHS requirements.
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • A current driver's license
  • Physical fitness to meet manual handling requirements
  • A confirmation record of COVID-19 vaccination (dose 1 & 2)

Nice to have's OR Desirable

  • Formal team leadership training and/or equivalent knowledge and experience with demonstrated ability to supervise and support staff.
  • Experience with working with people with disabilities, particularly in a service provision context.
