Aspect is committed to providing an autism friendly workplace and supporting an inclusive and diverse workforce. It is through this commitment that we encourage and welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) has grown to become Australia's largest national educational program for children on the autism spectrum, with 9 independent schools operating from 67 locations in NSW and South Australia catering to approximately 1,200 students. Across our networks of schools, Aspect is proud of its passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated teachers and aides who work together to create person-centred multi-disciplinary teams.
Aspect Macarthur School is situated in the tranquil rural setting at Cobbitty less than half an hour's drive from Campbelltown. The school provides placement for approximately 110 students on the autism spectrum from Kindergarten to year 10 and offers staff a well-resourced main campus site as well as multiple satellite units where we partner with Catholic and Independent schools across the greater Campbelltown area and another main site school in Coffs Harbour, NSW.
An exciting opportunity for a Principal to provide expert educational leadership for the Aspect Macarthur School. As Principal, you will lead a skilled, professional team to achieve positive outcomes for children on the autism spectrum, whilst actively contributing to the professional growth and development of Aspect's education services and strategic plan implementation. Working with Aspect’s passionate staff will give you a fabulous opportunity to lead a dynamic and energetic school community where we understand, engage and celebrate the strengths, interests and aspirations of people on the autism spectrum.
We are looking for a visionary leader - someone who can think strategically and display resilience and focus whilst working at an executive level. You will work collaboratively with staff to improve teaching and learning opportunities and services and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including families and children enrolled at the school.
To be considered for this position you will have experience at a Principal or education leadership level. In addition to your teaching qualifications and experience, you will preferably hold qualifications and/or experience in special education disability services.
A National Police Check clearance is a requirement and Aspect will arrange this. You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance. A Working with Children check is also required.
Remuneration packages for Aspect Principals are based on student numbers of the school. As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), Aspect employees receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities including $15,899 each year tax free. This means you can increase the value of your take-home pay. Click here for a summary of some of the benefits you can access when working at Aspect.
Opportunities like this don't come around often so don't wait! To apply, please attach your updated resume and complete the candidate questionnaire as part of Aspect's online recruitment process.
