The Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM) has a mission is to foster a collaborative multi-disciplinary community of highly competent health professionals who deliver ultrasound excellence.
Diagnostic ultrasound is the most widely used imaging modality, with new emerging applications constantly in development in medicine. Technological advances and training enable greater access and faster diagnosis, creating healthier lives for all.
ASUM provides ongoing education, events and standards across all disciplines of diagnostic ultrasound. We recognise and acknowledge the many generous volunteers who enable ASUM to provide these essential resources to the broader ultrasound community to deliver quality patient care and outcomes.
The Role
This role will be pivotal in developing engaging content and digital assets across social media, newsletters, website and webinar videos. Working with internal and external stakeholders across projects this role will support brand consistency across all digital channels.
Key aspects of the role
- Develop and create engaging content for the organisation’s website, social media platforms, and other digital channels.
- Design and produce digital assets including graphics, videos and newsletters.
- Create social media digital content and build presence across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.).
- Schedule and post content regularly, monitoring engagement and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Track and analyse social media performance and implement strategies to increase reach and engagement.
- Maintain and update the website in line with key projects, communications or updates to policies, guidelines or standards.
- Develop and maintain digital marketing templates and coordinate email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and other digital outreach efforts.
- Support the preparation of press releases, media kits, and other communication materials for public relations efforts, as required.
- Develop digital assets to support the promotion of events, campaigns, and initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the performance of digital communications using analytics tools.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving digital strategies based on data analysis.
- Support development of reporting as required from time to time.
- Lead in delivering consistency in messaging and visual identity across all digital platforms and communications.
What we're looking for (key selection criteria):
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in communications/marketing/media, with at least 2 years practical experience in a related role.
- Demonstrated skills in building a consistent brand voice across digital, print, and other external channels.
- Demonstrated creative design skills to produce a range of brand assets eg Canva, video editing etc.
- Excellent communication and time management skills, demonstrating the ability to consistently deliver quality results within deadline.
- Strong ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with external and internal stakeholders at every level of the organisation.
- Ability to respond effectively to challenges and change, demonstrating a solutions-focus, innovative thinking.

Role:
The role is part-time, 0.8 FTE, based in the ASUM Chatswood office. Flexible and hybrid working is offered in line with ASUM's policies.
