Position Description

Brown Street Drop in Centre , safe, responsible space, were young people can be young in a supported safe environment

You will be part of our Drop in Centre team assisting young people aged 10-17 years. Working with the young people you will help create a safe and enabling environment and tailoring your support to the individual needs of each young person. Supporting young people to attain their educational goals, undertake extracurricular activities in line with their interests and supporting their connection to community and family.

The position provides high quality and effective strengths based case management to build client capacity to assist each client to deal with their trauma-based responses to life in a way that promotes healing, emotional growth and development of positive attitudes and life skills.

You will provide case management to high-need clients at Brown Street Drop in Centre and will be the direct contact point for case work and responsible for assessment and on-referral based on client and family needs. This environment provides direct access to at-risk clients, referral, support around contacting and working with families and knowledge that is key to the success of the role.

Position is based on the SCHCaDSI Award and attracts substantial allowance for evening and some weekend work.
