Nurse 5 - Remuneration Package Range $139,860 - $145,666

(Comprising salary $121,044 - $126,127, superannuation, leave loading and the value of 2 weeks extra recreation leave)

An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Mental Health Nurse to fill the position of Nurse Clinical Coordinator, Crisis Assessment Treatment Team Mental Health Central Australia Region (CAR).

The clinician will take a lead role in a multidisciplinary Crisis Assessment Team utilising prior extensive experience in a mental health community and crisis assessment settings to conduct a range of assessments and provide therapeutic interventions and education on mental health issues to staff, clients, and family members. The role requires a strong cultural safety framework, a commitment to evidence based practice with experience working as an autonomous practitioner and within a clinical mental health leadership role.

Mental Health CAR delivers public mental health services through a number of interdependent specialist multi-disciplinary mental health teams based in Alice Springs and Tennant Creek. This is a unique and rare opportunity in a highly-interested field within a positive and supportive team environment.
