Nurse/Midwife Clinical Specialist (Child and Family Health Nurse) provides appropriate, sound clinical and professional care which affects the work processes, services, and clients of the child health service. Based in Borroloola the applicant will work in partnership, liaise, negotiate and communicate with primary health care centres, families, community members and community organisations, to provide evidence based child and young people's health programs, to enhance the health and wellbeing of children in the community.
This role requires an understanding of, and experience with data, health promotion, and community development principles to plan, implement and evaluate, primary health care, and child health programs, including providing education and training to audiences in a variety of settings including health professionals and community members. Applicants will be required to have experience driving a manual vehicle and have or be eligible to obtain a NT driver’s licence. Regional travel will be by light aircraft and/or 4WD.
