Territory Families, Housing and Communities (THFC) takes a whole-of-life approach to addressing the vulnerabilities in our society through providing support services to create positive change for children, families, communities and seniors across the Northern Territory.

The Indigenous Essential Services team coordinates the provision of power, water and sewerage services to remote Aboriginal communities and outstations.

As Project Coordinator, your primary objective is to coordinate program management of funding arrangements, technical matters and infrastructure projects related to the delivery of essential services across remote communities in the Northern Territory.

Your key duties include; providing program management, technical advice, engineering support and overseeing the management of service providers for the delivery of essential services and infrastructure projects. You will also undertake technical scoping, conduct project-specific reviews and identify and assess current and future risks.

This role requires travel across the Territory to remote Aboriginal communities, and requires a high level of cross cultural awareness.

Ideally, you will have tertiary qualifications in relevant field such as; engineering, applied science, applied economics, project management supported by demonstrated knowledge and experience in essential services. An ability to provide advice on complex technical matters, develop practical solutions to complex problems and familiarity liaising with utility service providers, clients and consumers is essential.
