Earth News is a new project by Australian Progressive Media. It is in the early concept and development phase.

We are primarily looking for casual, female presenters, but are open to applicants of all genders. The next series of videos that we are looking to produce will be about explaining the concept, building our team, seeking support and funding. We are looking for a number of people of all age groups (16-70) to work with our team and develop into effective presenters. The videos attached involve a professional actress, whom we employed to visualise the concept.

The project is Canberra based. At this point we are only able to work with people who either live or travel to Canberra. When the project kicks off, we plan to have other locations where filming can take place.

Australian Progressive Media is run by a small team and is 1 year old. It is experimental in nature as we seek to develop and define the concepts that we believe will have the greatest impact. Considering our very limited resources, initial content will be focused around criticising our competition. It is important that applicants have an understanding of what it means to work in a start-up with limited resources and big dreams. We are looking for people who are flexible and cooperative.

There will be a small level of compensation, but this is not a highly paid gig. As we develop we will look to provide more economic security for the project’s employees. Effectively taking on the Murdoch involves acknowledgement that this is not about the money. Applicants must have a strong belief in sustainability and in working to adapt to climate change and other challenges Australia will face.

We are also interested in talking to people with media experience and are interested in taking action against the Murdoch Media empire.
