The role:

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Psychologist, Social Worker, Counsellor or Mental Health Nurse to join our specialist multidisciplinary team in the provision of mental health and disability support to individuals, families, government and non-government community organisations.

Key role objectives:

  • Foster and assist the ability of children, young people and adults to recover from the effects of trauma, and other emotional /psychological impacts;
  • Build the capacity of families, caregivers, and other key stakeholders to provide supportive therapeutic responses for children, young people and adults who present with complex needs;
  • Develop and strengthen multi-disciplinary responses to address the needs of children, young people and adults;
  • Commit to a model of practice that is underpinned by clinical integrity, and that embodies a strength-based perspective that is universal in response to the needs of children, young people and adults:
  • Safeguard that considered planning and intervention occurs in regard to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, other culturally diverse, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning (or: queer), and intersex children, young people and adults.

About you:

You will be a skilled clinician with at least three years of post-qualification experience working within the field of mental health and/or disability, with an understanding and keen interest in the effects of trauma.
