Established in 2018 as an NDIS Support Coordination service, Autism Abilities has grown from humble beginnings and a handful of clients to a team of nineteen people and two hundred and fifty clients. In 2022, Autism Abilities will continue its trajectory of steady and sustainable growth with the introduction of additional autism-specific services and a new office location. To support this growth, we are recruiting for the new position of Support Coordination Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a truly values driven organisation with a big heart and ambitious plans in a key leadership role. Responsibilities of the Support Coordination Manager include:
Leadership & Supervision - provide leadership, supervision and support including quarterly supervisions, weekly case conferencing and daily consults for an amazing team of people
Communication & Connection – organise, prepare & facilitate effective, purposeful meetings, and manage the MS Teams Support Coordinator channels to ensure the team is informed, connected and supported every step of the way
Knowledge & Expertise – stay up to date and share your knowledge & expertise generously, organise, participate in and deliver training and develop external networks
Quality & Standards - develop & implement effective continuous improvement practices, conduct annual participant surveys and internal audits
Compliance & Risk – ensure adherence with Autism Abilities Policies & Procedures, Code of Conduct and the NDIS Code of Conduct and Practice Standards. Complete comprehensive risk assessment and business continuity plans
Business Strategy & Growth - Work with the CEO exploring & developing opportunities for growth and development of the support coordination business
HR – assist with the recruitment of new staff, provide induction programs, & conduct annual performance appraisals. Maintain staff notes and address any performance issues with staff
Caseload – carry a small caseload (approx. 10 hours per week)
Reporting – provide monthly management reports on budget, team performance, incident management reviews, feedback & complaints.
