Remote / Work from Home
We’re looking for a Clinical Nutrition Guideline Protocol Officer who can volunteer remotely from home for 3months. Join the Australian Volunteers Program to contribute to sustainable development across the Central & North Pacific.
Ministry of Health and Medical Services, Fiji’s 2nd largest Ministry, the National Wellness Centre was founded in 2012 in order to combat NCDs as part of a new ministerial focus on “wellness” rather than “illness”.
The target groups and beneficiaries vary according to each health program which encompasses the wider population of Fiji. The programs are cross-cutting and address prevalent health issues in Fiji due to the different target demographics for every illness. The Wellness Centre has the mandate to carry out research and provide evidence for action, surveillance, prevention and control of non-communicable diseases and malnutrition.
As part of their work in supporting policy development and guidance for the MoH in this current COVID 19 context, the organisation is prioritising upscaling and elevating the clinical nutrition protocols and guidelines. The Ministry requests capacity support in the area of reviewing the nutrition protocols.
We actively support and encourage people of all backgrounds and abilities to volunteer internationally and aim to make the program as accessible and inclusive as possible. - Find out more.
