We’re looking for a Policy Officer (Child Health and Protection) who can volunteer remotely (from home) for 3 months. Join the Australian Volunteers Program to contribute to sustainable development across central Pacific.
The Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) Program is an integrated program and a division under the Public Health Services within the Ministry of Health & Medical Services (MHMS) of the Government of Kiribati. The program has been operating as one of the public health programs since 2015. RMNCAH is under the mandatory and directorate of the Director of Public Health who is also the Chair to the National RMNCAH Steering Committee.
Despite the many programs and interventions, Kiribati continues to have high mortality and morbidity rates especially in children aged five and under. RMNCAH is seeking to develop a new policy that will strengthen and enforce the child health program. The volunteer will be work closely with the child health program manager in the development, drafting and finalising of this policy.
We actively support and encourage people of all backgrounds and abilities to volunteer internationally and aim to make the program as accessible and inclusive as possible. - Find out more
