About the Partner Organisation: 

Africa Ignite is one of South Africa's leading rural development agencies, with a focus on holistic rural enterprise development and support for women’s and youth development. Their vision is for rural communities to have thriving enterprises, be well-educated and confident, skilled women and youth who craft their own futures and participate equally in a democratic society. Their mission is to draw on their proven innovative and replicable rural development models, to ignite the potential of women and youth, and to enable them to become creative, literate, capable and economically active citizens.

The organisation runs a craft production and sales function, through which they act as a market access partner to local craft makers. Their demand for products comes from sales to an existing database of local and international clients and through specific funded projects. They have a central craft logistics hub and they wish to centralise all stock control, introduce barcode systems and stock-keeping systems to help them more successfully manage and control their stock, quality and income.

About the Position: 

• You’ll be supporting the organisation to develop and implement a new centralised stock management system.   Once developed you will be training staff and monitoring its effectiveness.
• You’ll need experience in developing and implementing stock management systems.
• You’ll have the opportunity to support rural development in Africa.
