We are looking for a passionate and collaborative leader who can work in partnership with the payroll and HR team to achieve the payroll function’s purpose and potential at Avivo.

What’s important to us:

  • End to end ownership of the payroll function, building and maintaining strong business partnership relationships with colleagues;
  • Development and implementation a strategic program of work that addresses key areas of risk, streamlines processes and improves proactive and responsive customer service to Avivo colleagues
  • Strong mentoring and support of the Payroll Specialists, sharing knowledge and experience and supporting them to reach their potential
  • Full system ownership, optimising the use of systems within the team and leads the resolution of systems, process and data issues impacting the payroll team in partnership with other teams

To be considered for this role you'll need:

  • Attitudes and behaviours that demonstrate Avivo’s vision and values
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience leading, mentoring and supporting a highly engaged team to reach their potential
  • Extensive senior level experience in a complex payroll/rostering environment (preferably within a workforce of 1,000+ employees).
  • Experience working with Aurion is preferred, as is hands-on experience and understanding of with multiple payroll systems
  • A demonstrated ability to translate regulatory and contractual conditions into payroll system and process requirements
  • A demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a governance framework to effectively manage business risk and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience with implementation of Enterprise Agreements including development of business rules and leadership of systems implementation
  • A demonstrated ability to optimise use of payroll processes and systems within a payroll function
  • Developed skills to resolve complex and challenging issues by collaborating across teams and making timely and appropriate decisions
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to all people
  • Minimum certificate / diploma level relevant qualifications

  • A salary starting from $95,740 plus super
  • Option to Salary Package up to $18,550
