Ballarat Health Services, proudly part of Grampians Health is seeking an enthusiastic and Social Worker for the role of Intake Counsellor/Advocate at the Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault.

Primary clinical responsibilities include intake, counselling, advocacy support to people who have experienced sexual assault and their family members; as well as support to children and young people exhibiting harmful sexual behaviours.

Sound knowledge and experience in undertaking psychosocial assessments, well developed communication skills and the ability to work well in the pursuit of client and team needs and goals are required. Experience in working in community and healthcare settings with an emphasis on sexual assault and family violence would be a highly regarded attribute.

Professional development is supported through regular in-service education, supervision in line with AASW requirements and the ability to attend continuing education where appropriate.
