We currently have two permanent, full time Senior Manager - Impact Lending positions to available in our Impact Lending Team. The Senior Manager – Impact Lending is a senior role, responsible for developing and executing lending solutions and projects aligned with Bank Australia’s values and delivering positive social and environmental outcomes. This includes responsibility for origination, due diligence, deal execution and ongoing relationship management. The Senior Manager – Impact Lending also contributes to the development and delivery of the impact lending strategy with focus areas of inclusive housing (social, affordable, disability) and clean energy.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and foster strong relationships amongst the bank’s target impact segments, generating and delivering commercial lending opportunities
  • Develop and share deep sector knowledge in target impact segments and support the development and implementation of the impact lending strategy
  • Contribute to the development of funding/capital solutions in target impact segments and work collaboratively across the business to develop products for purpose
  • In partnership with Credit, prepare detailed credit submissions and recommendations supported by in depth due diligence, impact assessment, financial/risk analysis and research
  • Manage Financial Close process including negotiating legal documentation, completing due diligence and ensuring adherence to other credit/regulatory conditions
  • Manage the ongoing lending/banking requirements of customers and execute business development plans
  • Build strong relationships across the business to develop solutions and contribute to the bank’s impact
  • Represent the bank at events and relevant external forums.

What you will bring

  • Significant commercial lending experience, ideally within the bank’s target segments
  • Strong understanding of the impact finance and investing sector in Australia
  • Proven track record building strong networks and creating new lending opportunities
  • Established commercial acumen and mindset
  • Flexibility, adaptability, resilience and a “can do” attitude
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal written and interpersonal
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
