Based at our Greensborough office, this temporary part time position presents a great career opportunity for someone who is passionate about action on climate change, conservation and sustainable living. 

As the Environment Grants Officer, you will

  • Implement Council’s Environment Grants program with an aim to produce measurable outcomes 
  • Support the community in designing projects and through the application process
  • Celebrate and promote outcomes as well as the grant program as a whole
  • Trail new and innovative initiatives that respond to barriers to sustainability action in key demographics 
  • Ensure alignment of the Environment Grants with Council’s broader Community Grants program

What we are looking for 

  • Tertiary qualifications or work experience in a field relevant 
  • Knowledge and experience in community and grant engagement 
  • Ability to learn quickly on the job
  • Verbal and written communication skills, and ability to engage with diverse communities 
  • Strong project management skills including design, implementation and evaluation

We can offer 

  • $70,934.90 to $82,175.74 pro rata plus 10 % super 
  • Temporary 24 hours per week August 2021 to June 2022
