The Position

If you are driven by supporting parents and carers of children and young people to remain as a family unit then this role if for you. In this role you are part of a team working in partnership with families, children and young people and other support services for the best outcome for the family.

To soar in this role, you will be committed to working in partnership with partnership with the children and young person, their carers and birth families and Child Protection and other support services, to provide a holistic trauma informed service using the Best Interests Case Practice Framework.

About You

Seriously good at case management, with suitable level of understanding about therapeutic models and theories around trauma and child development that enable positive change and demonstrated ability to apply these in practice

Experienced in working with family of origin, as a key point of liaison and in the range of assessments and support required

Know about risk and risk management in this environment

Be good with the paperwork, as well as the doing.

Quals and that guff

• Tertiary Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Youth work or other relevant Human Services qualification and/or experience
• Current Police Check (national and international if relevant)
• Current Working with Children Check
• Victorian Driver's License
• Current vacs (you know, the COVID thing)
