We have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced workplace relations specialist to join our team on a full time basis.

About the role

Partnering with key stakeholders and the HR Business Partners, our Workplace Relations Business Partner expertly handles a range of WR/IR cases to deliver fair and appropriate outcomes. Key to this role will be leading Baptcare’s EBA negotiations. You will also:

  • Meet with stakeholders to understand issues, establishing trust and rapport
  • Advise on risks, interpret industrial instruments, and provide solid and suitable recommendations
  • Write reports and communications, keeping the online system (EMS Pro) up to date
  • Attend Fair Work, meetings and mediations as required
  • Review Baptcare’s EBA’s and industrial instruments, then map and run the EBA negotiation process

About you

Along with your expertise in workplace and industrial relations, you bring a passion to contribute to the community in the work you do. Highly organised and able to meet deadlines effectively, you are a true business partner that instils trust in your stakeholders by demonstrating integrity and accountability.

Working as part of a team, you collaborate with and support others, demonstrating respect in your day to day actions.

You will ideally bring the following:

  • Qualification in business, human resources or similar
  • Experience leading EBA negotiations, and interpreting industrial instruments
  • Experience in a unionised workplace
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law
  • Satisfactory police check
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and own insured vehicle
  • Current Influenza vaccination or willingness to obtain
  • Experience in NFP and/or community aged care highly regarded
