BaptistCare Counselling & Family Services are currently recruiting two Counsellor/Group Worker positions to join our team in Bankstown on a permanent part-time basis.

You will provide counselling, support and specialist group programmes to people through an trauma informed, evidence based, psycho-educational framework.

This role supports clients from all walks of life to overcome difficulties, build resilience and enhance their quality of life and relationships. Knowledge of the Family and Domestic Violence sector is key, and a deep understanding of male behaviour change and group facilitation is highly desirable. Note: the one vacant position is a child-focused role.

To be considered, you will need:

• Tertiary qualifications in relevant human services (e.g. Psychology, Counselling) or equivalent demonstrated experience
• Clinical membership of relevant professional body (e.g. PACFA)
• Demonstrated experience in counselling and group work
• Demonstrated experience in individual and group settings with those experiencing and/or perpetrating Domestic and Family Violence
• Experience in trauma informed practice
• Demonstrated experience relating to diverse groups, e.g. Government departments & other agencies
• Current driver’s license and valid Working with Children’s Check
