About your new role:

Working closely with the Occupational Therapist &/or Physiotherapist you will be responsible for the implementation of leisure, lifestyle and therapy activities with the residents within the Aged Care Facility based in Salter Point.

The role also requires the delivery of quality therapeutic interventions with residents under the supervision of the relevant therapist, including preparation, application and evaluation of programs and activities.

Skills and Experience:

  • Completion of Certificate III Allied Health Assistance or equivalent accredited training or progression towards
  • Demonstrated understanding of person-centred principles and the ability to engage people in meaningful activity
  • Demonstrated understanding of the needs of people with dementia in relation to leisure and therapeutic activity
  • First Aid Certificate (current).
  • Valid unrestricted Australian Driver’s License
  • Working knowledge of WH&S legislation and practice.
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check
  • Willingness to obtain or provide proof of Influenza & Covid-19 Vaccination
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medial
  • Willingness to obtain National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check (you will receive a full refund for your NDIS check upon commencement of employment)
