  • Providing ongoing professional training and wellbeing sessions
  • Structured internal and external mentoring
  • Wellbeing leave - your personal leave doesn’t just have to be for sick days, at batyr you can also use this leave to support your mental health and wellbeing
  • Mid-year and start-of-year retreats
  • Flexible working arrangements

ABOUT YOU

You love to immerse yourself in uni life, and get amongst it to help create events and activations that get students pumped. You know how to connect with people, and love supporting the people around you to succeed. You’re super organised, have a brain for planning and logistics, and take a positive approach to solving problems. Mostly, you want to make sure everyone gets around having positive conversations about mental health, and make the students at UniSA feel part of the batyr herd! As with all of our employees, you will have an active interest in tackling the stigma in young people around mental health, and are aligned to batyr’s five values; empathy, inclusive, balance, positive and bold.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The University Program Coordinator (UniSA) will be the batyr rep on the University of South Australia campuses and online, working alongside contacts at the university to deliver the batyr@uni program across faculties, colleges, residential halls, and societies. The university program at UniSA is aimed at reducing stigma and increasing help seeking behaviour for young people and promoting the message that it’s ok to not be ok.

The role will play an important part in nurturing and developing batyr’s relationships with key stakeholders within the university, and in the success of the partnership more broadly. This role will assist in the direction of batyr’s core university program at UniSA, identifying needs and helping the team continue to improve how we do things at batyr’s partner universities.

This role will report directly to the State Manager (VIC/SA) based in Melbourne.

All candidates will need to hold a current Working with Children Check and Police Check, or be willing to obtain these within one (1) month of starting the role.

Please see the attached job description for full details on the role, responsibilities and selection criteria.
